In October we opened our new flagship teaching and learning centre. As part of the project steering group, I’ve been involved in this work from inception through to the building opening and have helped shape the delivered fabric. The technology in the building is genuinely cutting edge and has been nominated for international award – Our Audio Visual Integration Partner Visavvi are in the running for ‘Education Project of the Year’ in the InAVation Awards 2020 for this building.
The Teaching and Learning Centre features the largest AV over IP solution within a Higher Educational building in Europe and when combined with the existing AMX SVSI solution in place with our other core teaching and learning building – the Calman Learning Centre – is representative of our commitment to drive the delivery of innovation and a direction of travel towards increased technological convergence. The latest standards for Cat 6A cabling are deployed throughout.
